Lithuania appeals to the UN Commissioner over the situation with migrants

This was reported by TASS with reference to the bureau of the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the UN and international organizations in Geneva, Andrius Krivas.

“Lithuania asks the UN High Commissioner and the International Organization for Migration to publicly assess the policy of Belarus in the field of migration and include this issue in its agenda,” the statement said.

Earlier, the EU promised urgent assistance to Lithuania in connection with the migration crisis on the border with Belarus.

It was also reported that Lithuania will build a wall on the border with Belarus due to migrants.
