On July 13, local time, it was reported that a large-scale protest took place in the Lebanese capital because of dissatisfaction with the investigation of the Beirut port bombing case. A large number of protesters gathered outside the home of the Minister of the Interior.

Many of the protesters were family members of the victims of the bombing, and they clashed with the military and police.

The military police then used tear gas to disperse the protesters.

Some protesters broke into the home of the Minister of the Interior, painted graffiti on the building and placed empty coffins at the entrance.
