Visby Hospital is limited when it comes to ventilating and using fan systems in the prevailing heat.
- We must take a position on the operations that are coming, if they are of an emergency type or if they can be postponed.
However, emergency operations will not be affected, says Veronica Snoder, Deputy Hospital Manager at Visby Hospital, Health and Medical Administration Region Gotland in a press release.
- The humidity mainly threatens the sterile-packaged material such as prostheses, which can be a problem in various prosthetic operations. For security reasons, therefore, certain operations may be postponed.
