There has been thunder in the area and several alarms about forest fires came in during the evening.
Several alarms could not be traced to any more fire.
- People have seen smoke in all sorts of places, but we have not invented any fire.
Until now, says Thomas Hansson, internal commander, the rescue service in Västernorrland, at 21.25.
From Vivstaberget a mile southwest of Sundsvall, the rescue service has received drone-photographed images from a private person, where smoke columns from the forest can be seen.
It is judged to be a minor forest fire, but before the rescue service arrived, the spread is not known.
- We have some resources approaching the fire, but they are not there yet, Hansson says to SVT.
The fire on Vivstaberget is a few hundred meters from a passable road, and the terrain seems to be mountainous in the area.
