“Since July 14, a high alert regime has been introduced in all regions of Karelia.

The corresponding order was signed by the head of the region Artur Parfenchikov in connection with the risk of forest fires, ”the department said.

It is also reported that "a ban is being introduced on visiting forests in the Segezhsky, Kalevala, Suoyarvsky, Muezersky municipal districts."

“This decision was made in connection with the establishment of a high class of fire hazard in the regions of Karelia and the most difficult fire hazard situation in four regions of the republic,” the message says.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense showed footage of the elimination of fires in the forests of Yakutia.

During the day, the crews of the Il-76 aircraft of the military transport aviation dropped more than 80 tons of water on the foci of a large natural fire, after which they returned to the temporary base to prepare for a second flight.

Also, the crews of army aviation on Mi-8 helicopters took part in the extinguishing.
