A collision between two trawlers occurred early Tuesday morning about 25 kilometers off the tip of Penmarc'h (Finistère), we learned from the Maritime Prefecture of the Atlantic.
The fishing vessel
Manga Reva
did not withstand the shock and sank.
His four sailors just had time to evacuate and board another fishing vessel which headed for the port of Guilvinec.
Injured, one of the sailors was taken care of by the Finistère firefighters and transported to Pont-L'Abbé hospital.
The Ocarina
, the other trawler involved in the collision, showed only material damage.
The
Manga Reva
is now a hundred meters deep.
Surface debris was recovered by a fishing vessel present in the area, forcing the maritime authorities to issue an urgent notice to mariners.
