Bahrain puts two Arab countries on the red list and suspends entry to travelers from them

Civil Aviation Affairs in Bahrain announced the update of the list of countries listed on the red list, based on the recommendation of the National Medical Team to Address the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the approval of the Coordinating Committee, to include (Mozambique, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, Mongolia, Namibia, Mexico, Tunisia, Iran South Africa, Indonesia, Republic of Iraq, Philippines, Panama, Malaysia, Uganda, and the Dominican Republic) in addition to the countries already on the list (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Vietnam).

The Bahraini Civil Aviation Affairs noted that the entry of travelers from the countries listed on the red list will continue to be suspended on all flights, including those coming from these countries who will enter the Kingdom temporarily, with the exception of citizens and holders of valid residence visas in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Also, all previously announced procedures will be maintained for arrivals allowed to enter the Kingdom from countries listed on the red list, which require all vaccinated or unvaccinated travelers coming to the Kingdom of Bahrain from these countries, aged 6 years and above, to present an examination certificate ( PCR) certified carrying a QR Code before boarding the plane, 48 hours before the time of departure, and a laboratory examination upon arrival, and a laboratory examination on the tenth day of arrival, where they can pay the cost of the examinations through the “Conscious Society” application. In addition to the platforms at the airport that allow cash and electronic payments by bank and credit cards, and the application of a precautionary quarantine for ten days for adults aged 6 years and over in their homes or places designated for quarantine licensed by the National Health Regulatory Authority.

Civil Aviation Affairs noted that all previously announced procedures for arrivals from countries not on the red list will be maintained.

It is noteworthy that the countries on the red list are added or removed from the countries according to the assessment of the national medical team to address the Corona virus according to the relevant criteria in terms of the extent of the virus spread in the countries, and this list will be reviewed and updated periodically according to developments.
