  According to a report on the Sri Lankan "Pages of Colombo" website, two Sri Lankan Airlines planes carrying a total of 2 million doses of China's Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine took off from Beijing and arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake on the morning of the 11th. .

  Sri Lanka’s Minister of State for the production, supply and supervision of medicines, Chana Jayasumana, also confirmed that the country has received 2 million doses of China’s Sinopharm’s new crown vaccine on the 11th, and the vaccine will be launched on the 12th.

  According to reports, these 2 million doses of the new coronavirus vaccine from China are the largest batch of vaccines shipped to Sri Lanka so far.

  Since China provided the first batch of 600,000 doses of vaccines on March 31, Sri Lanka has received a total of 7.1 million doses of Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccines.

  Sri Lankan President Gotabaya said on the 9th that another batch of 2 million doses of China’s Sinopharm’s new crown vaccine is scheduled to arrive on July 28 and will be used for residents of Trincomalee, Batticaloa and Monaragara regions. Vaccination.
