The death toll rose to 60 as six more bodies were recovered on the 8th, when rescue operations were switched to restoration for the Surfside apartment collapse in Florida, USA.

After the accident, the local authorities, which had focused on the rescue of survivors, decided that there was little chance of any more survivors, so they switched the direction of work to recovery at 00:00 local time on the 8th.
