"Emirates Today" has monitored an increase in the percentage of national cadres that have completed their registration with the National Self-Employment Platform of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, amounting to 12.5% ​​of young citizens, during the past two months, bringing the total number of cadres registered with the platform, since its launch in March 2020 until Now, to 5025 skilled and independent citizens, after the number in the first third of last May was 4,467 citizens ready to work, of both sexes, and these cadres were distributed to six professional sectors, according to their desires, including “digital, administrative and professional services, content preparation Marketing, graphic design, photography and editing.

The national self-employment platform is the first interactive platform affiliated to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which aims to invest national skills and competencies to participate in the management of government and private agencies’ projects, pointing out that it is a link between skills owners and government and private agencies, through talent show, and linking them to projects submitted. According to the approved classifications, which would contribute to supporting small and medium enterprises and strengthening strategic partnership with government and private institutions and agencies.

According to the monitoring, the number of employers and establishments registered with the “self-employment” platform to request the services of skilled national cadres, and conclude work deals with them, has decreased by 5.9% during the past two months, where it was 204 last May, while it is now 191 An employer in the government and private sectors, while the number of projects put forward by government and private employers on the platform reached 45 projects, with the aim of contracting their implementation with national cadres, including “preparing propaganda videos, designing publications that include information about business entities, translating audio clips or Print brochures, audio commentary on video materials, and marketing services.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation stated that the national platform for self-employment provides free electronic training for the freelancer, during the first month of joining it, and is a condition for continued membership, provided that the training includes four main axes, including “time management, personal marketing, and how to become independent.” Successful, and finally developing technical skills,” pointing out that the citizens registered with the platform are subsequently subject to specialized training courses, free of charge, in their skill areas.

The ministry has set three conditions for registering on the platform, the first of which is that the person wishing to register is a citizen of the state, and the second is not less than 21 years old, and possess a skill or talent in the field of business, noting that a citizen can submit job offers on the platform, by simply registering and preparing his own page And adding the services that he can provide according to the project, with the possibility of adding more than one work area on his page, and applying for more than one offer.

The ministry called on national cadres of skilled and independent businesses to register with the platform and obtain a license from the ministry, to allow them to conclude work deals with government, semi-governmental and private agencies, to increase their income.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation summarized the privileges that a citizen obtains when registering in the national platform for self-employment, in dealing with government, semi-governmental and private agencies, and introducing them to his skills and talents, which may qualify him to obtain a permanent job in it, in addition to achieving material income, and identifying government projects. and semi-governmental and private issues, promoting the spirit of leadership, and finally empowering Emirati youth through gaining practical experiences.

She stressed that registration on the platform does not currently require a commercial or electronic license, and registration does not require that the citizen be present within the country, or looking for a job.

She explained that a set of incentives has been allocated to persuade government agencies to deal with independent national cadres, by implementing the recommendations of the Council of Ministers regarding directing 10% of government purchases to each entity, to citizens and companies owned by them.
