New judicial setback for former tennis player Arancha Sánchez-Vicario. The Prosecutor's Office asks for 4 years in prison and a fine of 8,700 euros for her and for her ex-husband Josep Santacana for an alleged crime of property removal. In addition, there are five other people who will sit on the bench accused of being cooperators to commit this crime and for whom three and a half years in prison are requested. The Court of Instruction 4 of Barcelona ordered the prosecution of all of them after receiving the indictments of the prosecutor and the private prosecution, the Bank of Luxembourg.

The tax brief indicates that the tennis player and her former partner allegedly sold their properties in Spain and Andorra to avoid paying a debt they had with the bank.

For this reason, subsidiary civil liability is requested from various companies that used in this process.

The couple had to pay more than 5 million euros left as collateral to face a fine of 3.5 euros plus interest for tax evasion imposed by the Supreme Court in 2009. Despite the claims, the then couple allegedly sold assets to avoid paying this amount that was claimed from them by civil means, which for the prosecutor is a crime of property lifting.
