China's National Ocean Forecasting Station continued to issue storm surge and wave blue warnings on the 6th.

  The forecast shows that at 5 o'clock on the 6th, the center of the tropical depression in the Bashi Strait is located on the sea about 405 kilometers southeast of Zhangpu, Fujian.

It is expected that the low pressure center will continue to move to the northwest with a slight increase in intensity. It will land on the coast from Quanzhou, Fujian to Shanwei, Guangdong on the evening of the 6th.

  Affected by the tropical depression in the Bashi Strait, it is expected that a 30 cm to 70 cm storm surge will occur along the coast from Putian, Fujian to Shantou, Guangdong on the 6th.

It is expected that from noon on the 6th to the 7th, large waves of 3 meters to 4 meters will appear in the southern Taiwan Strait, the northeastern part of the South China Sea and the Bashi Strait to the Julang area; the coastal waters of southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong will appear in the coastal waters of 2 meters to 3 meters. Waves hit big waves.

  In addition, the center of the tropical depression in the South China Sea was located about 435 kilometers southeast of Wanning City, Hainan Province at 5 o'clock on the 6th.

It is expected that the center of the low pressure will move to the northwest and its intensity will gradually increase. It may develop into a typhoon in the next 12 to 24 hours, and it will make landfall on the coast of eastern Hainan Island around noon on the 7th.

  Affected by the tropical depression in the South China Sea, it is expected that from early morning to noon on the 7th, there will be 30 cm to 60 cm storm surges on the east coast of Leizhou Peninsula and the east coast of Hainan Island.

It is expected that from noon on the 6th to noon on the 7th, there will be large waves of 2.5 meters to 3.5 meters in the northwestern part of the South China Sea; medium to large waves of 1.5 meters to 2.5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of eastern and southern Hainan.

  The National Ocean Forecasting Station reminds ships operating in the aforementioned sea areas to pay attention to safety. Coastal governments and relevant departments should make emergency preparations to prevent storm surges and wave disasters; all relevant sea-related units have taken active and effective measures to organize fishing boats, aquaculture fish rafts, and fishing rafts.
