About 100 thousand residents of Oryol were left without water due to a pipeline accident

According to TASS, the head of the region announced the corresponding state of emergency in a story on his Instagram page.

“There was a burst of the main pipeline of cold water supply at a depth of up to 3 m. As a result of the accident, the cold water supply of the Zavodskoy district and part of the Soviet district was cut off.

998 houses of various storeys with a population of about 100 thousand people, of which 17 thousand are children, fell into the cut-off zone, ”he said.

At the same time, Klychkov added that 58 social facilities were also left without water.

According to the governor, emergency teams have already arrived at the scene of the emergency. 

Earlier, Rostekhnadzor named the reasons for the accident at the pipeline on the Ob in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
