4 Egyptian military planes land at Khartoum airport

Today, Wednesday, Sudanese media reported the arrival of Egyptian medical aid to Sudan on board 4 military planes.

The Sudanese News Agency "SUNA" reported that 4 Egyptian military planes arrived this morning at Khartoum International Airport, carrying 39 tons of Egyptian medical aid.

The agency indicated that the aid consisted of two planes loaded with shipments to treat hepatitis C virus, a plane containing 300 oxygen cylinders, and an anesthetics plane.

The agency quoted the Egyptian ambassador to Khartoum, Hossam Issa, as saying that this aid "comes within the framework of the continuous cooperation between the two countries in the medical and other fields."

He continued, "This aid comes under the direct supervision of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as part of his initiative to combat Hepatitis C in the African continent."

The agency quoted the Director of International Health in charge of the Federal Ministry of Health, Arwa Omar, who was part of a delegation receiving the aid, expressing her gratitude for the Egyptian support, stressing Egypt's permanent support for Sudan.
