The corresponding decree of the state leader was published on the official portal of legal information.
"To accept the proposal of the Russian government to celebrate in 2024 the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin," the text of the document says.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been allocated three months to create an organizing committee to prepare for the events.
Also, the government will have to take care of the financing of the holiday.
Earlier it became known about the start of filming by Star Media of the multi-part film "Faina" about the theater and film actress Faina Ranevskaya.
The main role will be played by Marietta Tsigal-Polishchuk.
