Good evening,

would you have thought that? June in Hessen was one of the warmest and most beautiful in the past decades. The good impression was only clouded by the heavy rain, which most of the people longed for because of the drought of the past three years, but when it was there, it was not really wanted. Well, statistically speaking, June in Frankfurt - as in all of Germany - was actually the third warmest since the beginning of regular records at the airport weather station in 1936. Why did many Frankfurters still not feel so warm? We are now used to worse things: Compared to 2019, for example, this time no heat wave with maximum values of up to 39 degrees drove up the monthly statistics. The 120.8 millimeters of precipitation that came down from the sky in Junemade a bigger impression on many Frankfurters. This is certainly due to the fact that this is a remarkable plus of more than 70 percent compared to the long-term average. But please don't forget: this is good news! And that also applies to the rain that is forecast for the coming days.

More than 30 banks in Hessen are already charging interest on excessively high deposits above 50,000 or 100,000 euros.

Now there will be quite a few readers who wish such worries.

But there are also enough people who have exactly these problems, as the statistics impressively show.

Daniel Schleidt took a look at whether there are still banks that save their customers such punishment for excessively high liquidity.

    That's one thing.

But it is also important to note that you can actually do better with your money than leave it in your current account.

If more Hessians took this to heart, it would be a step forward.

The Eiserne Steg as a catwalk for models was often mentioned when the city announced last year that it would bring large parts of the Fashion Week from Berlin to the Main. But then Corona came and the plans for a big premiere with trade fairs, congresses and many individual events were postponed to January 2022. And yet the first Frankfurt Fashion Week will take place from Monday, July 5th to Friday, July 9th - and not just in the form of the digital FFW-Studio as a streaming platform that unites all events under one roof. But also very real on the streets and squares. This also included a small flash mob action on Saturday: Half a dozen Velotaxis stopped for a short time at Opernplatz, Eiserner Steg, Walther-von Cronberg-Platz and Honsell Bridge, bringing models and a small troop, which then presented mini fashion shows.

And Werner D'Inka will also succeed Andreas von Schoeler as chairman of the Friends of the Jewish Museum +++ René Gottschalk will be bid farewell on Monday as head of the Frankfurt Health Department and Marie Lisa Kehler spoke to him for a long time when he left +++ the rush of passengers to Düsseldorf Airport at the beginning of the vacation in North Rhine-Westphalia at the weekend also had an impact on Frankfurt.

    Have a good new week,
