Ringstorp's mill was built as early as 1803, but has stood on Fredriksdal since 1931. When it was still in operation, it was important for providing Helsingborg with bread, but also served as a meeting place for the farmers nearby.

- The miller always had the latest news about what was happening in the area, so he was a man with great knowledge and a lot of confidence, says Karin Kardell, antiquarian at Fredriksdal.

A dangerous job

But the work in the mill was dangerous and in order not to lose valuable wind hours, they worked around the clock.

- Before you had electricity, you had to hope that it was moonlit nights to get light, says Karin Kardell.
