Invited Sunday from Europe 1, the Minister Delegate for Citizenship Marlène Schiappa returned to the very strong abstention observed during the regional elections.

Refusing to "cast shame" on the abstainers, she calls on the political class to "question themselves".

INTERVIEW

Despite the good scores of the right, the resumption of form of the PS, or the rout of LREM, it is indeed the abstention that turned out to be the main highlight of the regional elections.

With a rate of 65.31% of abstainers in the second round and the record of 66.72% of the first round, this ballot once again confirmed the loss of confidence of many French people in politics.

On Europe 1, the Minister Delegate for Citizenship Marlène Schiappa recognizes that a responsibility "lies with the politicians".

"We must collectively question ourselves," she said.
