Recently, the Oakland Zoo in California, USA, began to vaccinate a variety of animals raised with experimental new crown vaccines.

Tigers, black bears, grizzly bears, cougars and ferrets were the first animals to be vaccinated. They received the first dose of two-dose animal-specific new crown vaccine.

The park plans to vaccinate primates and pigs in the next step.

Alex Herman, the head of the zoo’s veterinarian, said that none of these animals had been infected with the new crown virus and the vaccination was for preventive purposes.
