The judicial machine continues for the spectator suspected of being at the origin, Saturday, June 26, in Brittany, of a massive fall in the peloton of the Tour de France.

The one who caused several injuries among the runners will appear in court on October 14, the Brest prosecutor's office announced on Friday.

"The defendant will appear at the hearing of the Criminal Court of Brest on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 1:30 p.m.", indicates the public prosecutor of Brest, Camille Miansoni, in a press release, indicating that she was "presented to the Brest prosecutor's office at the end of his custody ".

The young woman was presented to the prosecution after her custody.

When questioned, the Brest public prosecutor, Camille Miansoni, simply told AFP that he would communicate "on the legal consequences of the case" via a press release.

Tony Martin took a sign and a spectator, the peloton was cut in two.

Presentation at the police station

The young woman, 30 years old and living in North Finistère, went with her companion on Wednesday at midday to the Landerneau gendarmerie, in charge of the investigation.

She was then placed in police custody for "endangering others by deliberate breach of an obligation of prudence and safety", as well as "involuntary injuries with disability not exceeding three months".

Thursday, during a press conference, Camille Miansoni had indicated that his police custody had been extended in order in particular to continue the investigations on "the medico-legal aspects", some injured runners having continued the race.

The spectator spoke during her hearing "of a feeling of shame, of fear in the face of the consequences of her act", reported the prosecutor.

"Go opi-omi

!"

On Saturday, during the first stage of the Tour, the spectator waved a sign with her back to the direction of the race and was struck by the peloton, causing many riders to fall 45 km from the finish.

Several cyclists were injured and had to abandon the event as a result of the accident.

A call for witnesses was launched in the evening to find her.

On the woman's sign, we could read "Go opi-omi!", Which in German means "Go grandpa-grandma!".

It was "an affectionate message to the attention of his grandparents", explained Camille Miansoni, specifying that his grandmother was of German origin.

The Tour de France, which had lodged a complaint against it, announced Thursday that it had withdrawn its complaint in order to "calm things down".

Another complaint was filed by the Swiss Association Professional Cyclists Associates, according to prosecutor Miansoni.
