Seventeen families had received orders to demolish their homes themselves, and the deadline expired at the beginning of this week.

The Palestinians in Silwan warn that the occupation will carry out a mass demolition in the coming days.

The Palestinians accuse the occupation of seeking to enable settlers to control real estate in the town as part of a policy aimed at besieging Al-Aqsa with projects of Judaization and settlement.

Raids on Gaza

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes launched a raid targeting a site of the Palestinian factions south of Gaza City, without causing any casualties.

Eyewitnesses said that the raid targeted the site with a number of missiles, which led to the outbreak of fire.

The Israeli army said it bombed a Hamas weapons manufacturing site in response to incendiary balloons.

For its part, Hamas said that the bombing was a showy reaction to cover up the escalating occupation crises.

The movement's spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum, confirmed that the resistance is the one that has the lead and administers the field according to a clear vision, as he put it.
