The evacuation was ordered in a rush after electrical and structural issues at the north Miami Beach apartment building were made public.

In fact, authorities have learned that an engineer inspected the 156-apartment building several months ago and reported the risks.

The inhabitants were therefore evacuated as a precaution, especially because of the approach of Hurricane Isla.

the collapse in Surfside

A vast audit operation has been launched in the city.
