Providing a "Fazaa" card for senior citizens registered with the Ministry of Community Development

The Ministry of Community Development signed a memorandum of understanding with the Social Solidarity Fund for employees of the Ministry of Interior, in order to support senior citizens by providing a package of distinguished services within the "Fazaa" program and cards for discounts. The first phase aims to provide a "Fazaa" card for all senior citizens registered in the database of the Ministry of Development The cards will be delivered to the homes of senior citizens in order to facilitate them and in appreciation of this dear group.

The Fazaa Program will provide distinguished and high-quality services to senior citizens registered with the Ministry of Community Development, through internal and external partners, with exclusive services included in the discount card.

The Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, led by Lieutenant-General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Highness’s keenness to provide the best means of support and empowerment for members of society, in a manner that embodies the leadership’s vision and its constant quest for leadership in the UAE. The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Community Development, Moza Al-Akraf Al-Suwaidi, and Colonel Ahmed Muhammad Buharoon Al-Shamsi, Director-General and Board Member of the Social Solidarity Fund for Workers in the Ministry of Interior.

Moza Al-Akraf Al-Suwaidi confirmed that the "Fazaa" card will be provided to senior citizens registered at the Ministry of Community Development in two forms: (electronic and printed) taking into account the needs and requirements of senior citizens, as the card will be provided to the beneficiaries through a delivery company that delivers each card to the beneficiary in his place of residence, in A step that comes in line with government efforts keen to support the foundations of the quality of life for all segments of society, which is translated by the goals and axes of the national policy for senior citizens, adopted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the end of 2018, from In order to improve the quality of life of this category, and to ensure their active and continuous participation within the societal fabric in the country, the policy was keen to provide the best exclusive and quality services to senior citizens and to provide their own discount programs, within the framework of 7 axes included in the policy, which are:Healthcare, community outreach and active life, energy investment and civic participation, infrastructure and transportation, financial stability, security and safety, quality of future life.

Al Suwaidi added that the provision of the Fazaa services program to senior citizens registered with the Ministry of Community Development comes within the framework of solidarity and integration at the level of state institutions for the sake of society, which grants senior citizens memberships that qualify them to obtain the best exclusive services and quality privileges available through Fazaa. She said that senior citizens are a group dear to all of us, they are truly great in experience and great in giving, and they are a permanent priority and deserve the best services and initiatives from us.

She added that the Ministry of Community Development, in the context of its interest in the category of senior citizens in particular, reflects an original approach on which the society of the UAE grew up and adhered to by parents and grandparents, and pledged to keep it the leadership of the UAE, which has always emphasized the status and value of senior citizens in society, noting a continuous process of giving that the ministry adopts in cooperation with Various governmental and development institutions to provide services worthy of this category, including special discount programs within the services of "Masara" in cooperation with the Ministry of Possibilities, which became available without request through the ID card automatically once the person reaches the age of 60.

For his part, Colonel Ahmed Muhammad Buharoon Al Shamsi said that the efforts of the Social Solidarity Fund for the employees of the Ministry of Interior are continuing in order to provide pioneering services that enhance the levels of quality of life for the Emirati community through the expansion of the list of beneficiaries as well as the expansion and diversity of the services provided..
