conservative national law and justice party

(PiS), in power since 2015.

“

Today evil rules Poland, and we will fight it,

 ” said Donald Tusk.

He added that "

the Law and Justice party was robbing the younger generations of any hope for a better future

", before denouncing very cold diplomatic relations between Poland and many countries, because of the strong man. of the PiS,

Jaroslaw Kaczynski

, enemy of Donald Tusk.

A new lease of life for the opposition?

The former Prime Minister said it this Saturday, he wants to breathe new life into the opposition Civic Platform party.

For now, the ruling Law and Justice party remains at the top of the polls, two years before the next elections in the country, even if it has lost its majority in Parliament and tensions regularly erupt within the coalition in the power.

It remains to be seen in any case how this return will be received by the Poles.

60% of them don't want Donald Tusk back in politics, according to a recent Kantar poll.
