A new case of mutilated horses.
In this case, a dead and mutilated pony was discovered this Saturday morning in the stable of a pony club in Ardèche, France Bleu learned.
The local gendarmerie has opened an investigation, "several teams" have already come to the site, according to the mayor of the town, René Sabatier.
The facts took place during the night from Thursday to Friday, in Saint-Clair, south of Privas.
According to the mayor of Saint-Clair interviewed by local radio, there is "no doubt" that the pony was killed by one or more people.
The gendarmes are currently carrying out a neighborhood survey.
A series of mutilations of horses, sometimes outright killed, had taken place in the four corners of France in 2020, without it having been able, until then, to be proven a coherence between these numerous attacks.
