Four people have been indicted, as part of an investigation into an alleged summary of procuring, reports the police of the Pyrénées-Orientales.

Two were remanded in custody, and two others under judicial supervision.

The investigations began in December, when the investigators received the testimony of the owner of an apartment, located in Perpignan, who suspected prostitution activity within it.

The first investigations made it possible to discover that this same tenant also rented several other apartments.

Referenced on a specialized site

After several months of investigation, five suspects were identified, as well as more than ten apartments, "in which prostituted escorts listed on a specialized site", indicate the police services.

Searches were carried out in the apartments, where 12 young women from South America were staying.

They admitted "prostituting themselves in the apartments, each paying the rental of a room by the week at a prohibitive rate", continues the police.

Investigators also seized around 27,000 euros in cash, two apartments and a vehicle.
