"Seventy years ago, we attacked Pearl Harbor, but now the United States and Japan are good allies ... I do not want to remind you of this attack, but we should be careful in connection with the Russian exercises," the publication quotes the Japanese deputy minister, who took part in an event organized by the Hudson Institute Research Center.

In his opinion, Russia is conducting exercises in coordination with China.

On June 21, warships of the Russian Pacific Fleet, together with naval aviation, during exercises in the central part of the Pacific Ocean, worked out a simulated attack with cruise missiles against ground targets of a simulated enemy.

In addition, long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, during exercises in the Pacific Ocean, practiced striking at the aircraft carriers of a simulated enemy.

More than 20 ships, submarines and support vessels of the Pacific Fleet, as well as more than 20 helicopters and aircraft of the naval aviation of the fleet and the Aerospace Forces, took part in the maneuvers in the central part of the ocean.

The Russian Ministry of Defense noted that foreign military aviation was actively operating in the exercise area, but camouflage did not allow foreign aircraft to determine the type of ship and its exact coordinates.
