On Friday morning, the prosecutor's office took over the investigation into the murder of the 33-year-old policeman who was shot to death in Biskopsgården on Wednesday evening.

According to chamber prosecutor Ulrika Åberg, the work is in an "intensive phase" where a lot of effort is still put into door knocking and obtaining testimonies.

- We have a very good staff resource in the case, we are collecting a lot of information right now, says Ulrika Åberg to SVT News.

Several people have been detained and taken in for questioning in the past 24 hours.

If anyone is a suspect, neither the police nor Ulrika Åberg want to comment.

- This is the line we are holding right now, she says.

- We have the resources we need to make the investigative measures we want to do.

It's a complicated job.

We're investigating a murder.

"Shares that assessment"

Police Area Chief Erik Nord stated on Thursday that, according to what the investigation so far shows, the 33-year-old police officer was not the intended target at the time of the shooting.

Ulrika Åberg now says that she shares that assessment.

According to her, it is probably a settlement between criminal networks in the area.

- I share the assessment they have made.

The motive is of course unclear because we are in the situation we are.

But it is likely that it is not about this particular policeman being deprived of life, she says.

- It may have been another reason why there was a shooting at this place.

Åberg emphasizes that there is a close collaboration with NFC, which on Thursday analyzed, among other things, empty sleeves that were found at the place where the policeman was shot.

Åberg does not want to go further into what the analysis has shown in more detail or what other evidence is the basis for the theory.

- We've made bargains.

But what closer findings we have made, I do not comment right now, she says.
