• Courts Angela Dobrowolski, the ex-wife of Josep Maria Mainat, is released with charges

The Barcelona Court of the Audience Jury sentenced the ex-wife of the television producer and member of La Trinca Josep Maria Mainat, Ángela Dobrowolski, to 17 months in prison for the crimes of breaking a precautionary measure and breaking and entering. The convicted woman acknowledged the facts and accepted the prison sentence that was suspended if she does not commit another crime for two years. However, Dobrowolski is prosecuted for trying to kill her former partner in the house they shared in Barcelona a year ago.

Precisely last January, Dobrowolski entered that home again, although Mainat was not there, knowing that a Barcelona court had ordered a precautionary measure to remove the victim and the children they have in common. After being detained by the Urban Guard, Dobrowolski entered prison for six months, until she left this Thursday.

In this sense, after the sentence of the Jury Court, the lawyer of the condemned woman requested her release to the Investigating Court number 32 of Barcelona, which investigates the alleged homicide, since the reasons for which her admission to prison were agreed are the tried and convicted in this sentence. After hearing the parties, who did not object, the court agreed to release the convicted woman with precautionary measures such as restraining order and prohibition of communication with her ex-husband, prohibition of leaving the territory and periodic appearance.

The judgment recalls that Dobtrowolski had had a restraining order regarding the domicile of her ex-husband since October of last year and that on January 4, "with full knowledge of the validity of the aforementioned judicial resolution and being indifferent to its compliance" she entered the housing they had shared.

Despite the fact that a Mainat employee saw her, the condemned woman climbed the wall of the house to reach the roof, at which point the neighbors called the police.

Although she tried to flee, she was arrested and transferred to the court that ordered her to be admitted to jail.

Locked up until the sentence was known, now she has a new opportunity while investigating whether she tried to kill her ex-partner.
