02 July 2021 "Dear members, as requested by the guarantor, Beppe Grillo, the vote for the M5s Steering Committee is called. In the coming days, the methods and times for submitting applications will be published through the new management platform for members and the dates of voting on the new voting platform ". Vito Crimi announces it to subscribers on the new M5s website. Yesterday the Guarantee Committee changed the regulation: now applications must be made on the new blog Movimento5stelle.eu and no longer on the blog of the Stars.

After Crimi's announcement, the first reactions arrive. "Rubric 'I ask for a friend'. Associates who have registered (all) through another site, how do they know that Movimento5stelle.eu, is the 'movement site', on which - in accordance with the statute - published the notice calling for consultations? Ah, to know. " The lawyer Lorenzo Borrè writes on Facebook, who assists several former Cinquestelle exponents and recently won the legal battle for the cancellation of the expulsion of the Sardinian regional councilor, Carla Cuccu, with relative reintegration in the pentastellato council group. Then Borrè warns: "I vote on Rosseau or it will be a barrage of appeals".

Meanwhile, there is still a faint hope of avoiding a painful split of the M5S, after the clash between Beppe Grillo and Giuseppe Conte. According to what is learned from leading parliamentary sources, in fact, the mediation that Luigi Di Maio and Roberto Fico are carrying out with patience and perseverance, continues and produces effects, at least that of putting the split of the groups on standby. Not only that, because optimism also filters on the vote for the election of the Steering Committee, despite the procedures being initiated by Vito Crimi, precisely on the recommendation of the guarantor.

The work of these hours is to put in the 'icebox' also the consultation of the members, trying in the meantime to restore calm and try to re-tie the threads of a dialogue that remains difficult, but - it is described by pentastellated environments - not impossible. In this context, the request of the groups to finally be able to read the Statute and the Charter of values prepared by Conte in recent months appears very important, with consequent (separate) meetings with both him and Grillo. Request that was accepted by both the guarantor and the former Prime Minister.

Raggi: "Everything can be recomposed"

"In my opinion, everything can be put together", Beppe Grillo and Giuseppe Conte "are two reasonable people". Thus the mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, at 'Agorà estate', on Rai3, talking about the crisis inside the M5S, after the clash between the guarantor and the former premier.

Giarrusso: "No game of the tower, Grillo and Conte essential"

"I do not participate in the game of the tower, I am on the side of the activists, I try to mediate. I think there is room for both, they are two essential figures. We have a responsibility as a political force, we have to find an agreement ". M5S MEP Dino Giarrusso said at 'Agorà estate', speaking of the internal crisis at the Cinquestelle, after the Grillo-Conte clash.

Spadafora: "Conte divided us, whoever leaves their posts"

"Conte was an excellent president, appreciated in Italy and abroad, he accompanied the country in the most difficult moment with prudence and wisdom. Being a political leader, however, is another job ". Vincenzo Spadafora, deputy M5S, says this in an interview with 'Corriere della Sera'. According to the former Minister of Sport, Conte in the last four months "has set the political plan wrong. He divided us by deciding to meet only a few, without a broad process of democratic participation of the base, but also of the group in the Chamber. Do not know what was happening - he underlines - only fueled confusion ".

And to those who ask him how many parliamentarians would be willing to follow the former premier if the latter were to found his own party, Spadafora replies: "In the past, former prime minister thought that popularity was enough to found a party. It never went away. good. The parties born in Parliament are historically dead with the elections. If a division is reached, it will not be an easy choice, also because those who leave should resign from their posts for decency ".
