China News Service, Beijing, July 2 (Reporter Li Jingze) In response to the French prosecutor’s investigation into four fashion companies, including the French branch of Uniqlo, for involvement in so-called “forced labor” in Xinjiang, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Wang Wenbin On the 2nd, we pointed out that we are firmly opposed to any external forces using Xinjiang-related issues to interfere in China's internal affairs, and we hope that relevant parties will not be deceived by the so-called "forced labor" lies.

Wang Wenbin said that we have repeatedly emphasized that the so-called "forced labor" in Xinjiang is a lie fabricated by a very small number of anti-China elements in a very small number of countries such as the United States. The purpose is to mess up Xinjiang and contain China.

We firmly oppose any external forces' interference in China's internal affairs through Xinjiang-related issues, and we also hope that relevant parties will not be deceived by the so-called "forced labor" lies.

"The irony is that the real widespread forced labor is the United States itself." Wang Wenbin pointed out that the relevant international trade unions have determined that the United States has a systemic violation of labor rights, the worst performance among major developed countries.

The victims of forced labor in the United States include both domestic citizens and foreign citizens from almost every region in the world, including vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the disabled.

Every year, as many as 100,000 people are trafficked from abroad to the United States for forced labor. Half of them are trafficked to sweatshops or subjected to domestic servitude.

Wang Wenbin emphasized that what the United States needs to do most is to reflect on its own serious human rights problems in a realistic manner, attack and discredit other countries under the guise of forced labor. No matter what packaging or rhetoric is used to cover up the nature of lies and rumors, it is also doomed to not. Will succeed.

“What I want to tell you is that the deliberate smearing and suppression of Xinjiang cotton has made the white and high-quality Xinjiang cotton known to more consumers, and it is more in short supply, and it has further become an important business card for Xinjiang’s agricultural products.” Wang Wenbin said.
