France to Saudis: "Schengen" is valid for entry, regardless of the country of origin

The Embassy of the French Republic in Riyadh announced the regular status of the "Schengen" visa and the possibility of entry to France if the visa was issued from a country other than France.

The Saudi newspaper, "Okaz", quoted the embassy as saying that the "Schengen" visa is valid for entry to France, regardless of the European Union country that issued it.

France had classified Saudi Arabia on the green list for those who wish to travel to it. The French ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ludovic Pouille, said, "Passengers from the Kingdom who have a valid visa can travel freely to France...Welcome to your second country."

The French ambassador also announced that, as of Thursday, 6/24/2021, arrivals from Saudi Arabia who received two doses of the new anti-Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine can go to France without the need for a PCR examination before departure, and they will not be subject to home quarantine upon arrival, Also, travelers who did not receive the vaccine are required to take a PCR test 72 hours before departure, and they will not be subject to home quarantine upon arrival.
