Yesterday, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced that 291 thousand and three new tests had been conducted, in line with its plan to expand and increase the scope of examinations in the country, with the aim of early detection, counting cases infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), and those in contact with them and isolating them.

The intensification of investigation procedures and the expansion of examinations at the state level contributed to the detection of 1,675 new cases of the virus.

Thus, the total number of registered cases is 634,582.

The ministry also announced the death of eight people from the repercussions of the infection, bringing the number of deaths in the country to 1819 cases.

The Ministry expressed its regret and condolences to the families of the deceased, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured, calling on community members to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to instructions, and adhere to social distancing, to ensure the health and safety of all.

The Ministry also announced the recovery of 1,556 new cases of people infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), and their full recovery from the symptoms of the disease, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 612,998 cases.

The Ministry announced the provision of 81,142 new doses of the “Covid-19” vaccine, bringing the total doses it provided until yesterday to 15,362,342 doses, and the vaccine distribution rate is 155.33 doses per 100 people.

This comes in line with the Ministry's plan to provide the vaccine to citizens and residents, in an effort to reach the acquired immunity resulting from vaccination, in order to help reduce the number of cases and control the "Covid-19" virus.
