“In general, 785 Russians are in custody on the territory of Belarus for various offenses.
Of these, 94 are in the status of suspects, 163 are accused, 528 are serving sentences, ”Zakharova said.
She stressed that Russian diplomats keep all cases under control.
"Each of the detainees, in case of appeal, is provided with the necessary consular assistance," she said.
Zakharova also spoke about the situation with the Russian woman Sophia Sapega, who was arrested in Belarus.
