That day, the victim, at first very calm, almost lifeless, suddenly took out a knife and threatened one of the officials who had come to escort the bailiff and the locksmith, responsible for carrying out this rental eviction, in Pierrelaye, a few kilometers away. from Pontoise.
One of the police officers then used his service weapon, hitting him in the shoulder.
A pulse of taser was then inflicted on him in the thorax by the second official.
Despite a heart massage lasting almost 30 minutes, the victim died before he could be taken to hospital.
The autopsy carried out in order to find out the causes of the death of this thirty-something, concluded in an internal hemorrhage, indicated the prosecution, specifying that the investigation entrusted to the IGPN was continuing, in particular on the medico-legal aspect.

After this tragedy, the association Droit au logement (DAL) called in a press release "the end of evictions".
This death "reminds us that the rental eviction is a violent act, which can give rise to acts of despair", deplores the association.
