In total, 10,000 police officers, or nearly one in three Hong Kong police officers, have been deployed across the territory, as a preventive measure, as it is rather an unusual calm that reigns in the city.

In Causeway Bay, a very commercial district, the police were on their toes.

Victoria Park was closed to access.

Many passers-by were searched.

The police blocked a shopping center and three students who wanted to set up a stand in the street to distribute leaflets were arrested by the police.

Attorney Hangtong Chow, who had previously been preemptively arrested on the morning of June 4 because she had indicated her intention to personally mark the anniversary of the Tiananmen massacre despite the ban, was again stopped on Wednesday June 30 as a preventive measure.
