Re-vaccination against coronavirus infection started in Moscow on Thursday, July 1.

Mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin announced this in his blog.

As the mayor said, the procedure for revaccination against COVID-19 was developed jointly with the Ministry of Health of Russia.

“Starting today, July 1, 2021, you can undergo revaccination in one of the eight Healthy Moscow pavilions.

And from July 5, 2021, registration for revaccination will be open in 12 city polyclinics, ”Sobyanin wrote.

He noted that under normal conditions revaccination will be carried out once a year.

However, given the tense epidemiological situation, doctors recommend re-vaccination after six months.

At the same time, the recommendation applies to both those already vaccinated and those who have recovered, despite the level of antibodies.

“Six months later, it is strongly recommended to vaccinate and citizens who have had COVID-19.

Moreover, this must be done regardless of the presence and level of antibodies, "Sobyanin emphasized.

In the capital, you can get revaccinated with any registered vaccine.

As pointed out by Sobyanin, at the moment there are "Sputnik V" (two components) or a new single-component vaccine "Sputnik Light": "You can choose any of them, regardless of which drug you were vaccinated with for the first time."

According to the deputy mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova, Moscow will purchase at least 750 thousand doses of the single-component vaccine "Sputnik Light", more than 500 thousand doses of the drug have already arrived in the city.

“It will be used to vaccinate labor migrants, as well as to re-vaccinate citizens who were vaccinated more than six months ago.

I personally have already re-inculcated "Sputnik Light", so did the people around me.

In the context of the spread of a more aggressive strain of coronavirus, this is very important, ”TASS quotes her.

In his blog, Sergei Sobyanin also recalled that he had also already received the second vaccination against COVID-19.

“Dear ones, I ask you, do not neglect the opportunity to receive additional protection from the virus.

This is extremely important in the context of the spread of the more aggressive Delta strain, which makes the disease much more severe in many people.

I myself have already been vaccinated for the second time, ”concluded the mayor.

During his speech at the plenary session of the Moscow Urban Forum, Sergei Sobyanin pointed out that Moscow has chosen its own way of solving problems and living in a pandemic, within this path, prompt and sufficient measures are being taken to counter the spread of infection.

“Today it is quite obvious that we are faced with a new threat, we are faced with a new challenge, with a new mutation of the coronavirus, which is more deadly and dangerous.

Nevertheless, we are trying, even in these conditions, to find a compromise for our usual, usual life and the requirements that the pandemic exposes for us.

These are very difficult, very difficult decisions that have to be made.

But this is what we have to do - take responsibility, ”he added.
