It is noted that the criminal case was initiated on the basis of a citizen's statement that a film was shown on the Dozhd TV channel containing deliberately false information that discredits his honor and dignity.
“It has been established that the authors of the film are Roman Badanin and Maria Zholobova.
In order to obtain information that has evidentiary value in a criminal case, a number of searches are being carried out, including at their places of residence, ”the department said.
Earlier, the lawyer said that law enforcement officers are conducting searches of the editor-in-chief of the Proekt publication Roman Badanin and journalist Maria Zholobova in the framework of the libel case.
According to the lawyer, the victim in the case is businessman Ilya Traber.
As a source told RT, during the searches, office equipment was seized from Badanin.
