"The head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia ... recommended this year to hold festive events in an online format, regardless of the situation in the region," TASS quoted the center as saying.

Falkov also noted that "the safety and health of students and university staff are the top priority" when such a recommendation was made public.

According to him, on July 10, the ministry will hold an all-Russian online graduation, which will be broadcast both on the Internet and on the federal channel.

“I ask the rectors to take this issue under special control and invest in the high-quality implementation of the online format so that the students are satisfied,” concluded Falkov.

On June 25, an all-Russian graduation ceremony took place in schools.
