The European health pass comes into force on Wednesday.

Like the one used in France, it makes it possible to certify a vaccination against Covid-19 or a PCR test to be able to travel to other countries of the European Union.

It can be presented on paper or via the "Tous Anti Covid" application.

Update on what to know.

The summer holidays are approaching, but with still the threat of Covid-19 contamination, they will necessarily be different from the previous ones.

This summer, those wishing to travel to other countries of the European Union can be provided with the health pass, which comes into force on Wednesday.

The goal: to be able to travel more easily thanks to proof of vaccination or negative test.

Convert the QR code to European format on the app

The health pass can be presented at the airport in paper or digital format, via the government application "Tous Anti Covid".

If you opt for the digital format and have already saved your proof of vaccination in the app, there is just a little manipulation to do.

At the end of the week, you will have to go to the "my notebook" section and choose the option "convert the QR Code to European format".

The paper format to download from ameli.fr

If you are more paper-based, there are two options.

If you were vaccinated after June 25, a European passport in paper format was automatically given to you.

On the other hand, if you did it before June 25, you have to go to the health insurance website to download it.

Children under 11 are exempt from the health pass.

Check the rules applicable to each country before leaving

At the airport, in a few seconds, the border police officer will verify via his application that all the evidence presented does indeed come from certified authorities. This proof is the same as for the French health pass: vaccination certificate, antigen test or PCR, or certificate proving that you had the Covid less than six months ago. This last document is however not accepted by France within the European framework. It is therefore necessary to check before leaving the rules applicable to each country.
