- There has been a lot of commitment around this, so we think it is appropriate to have a dialogue with the municipal residents, says Rickard Malmström (MP), chairman of the Street and Community Environment Committee.

The vote will take place on the municipality's Facebook page between 28 June and 2 August.

You can choose between three alternatives: Vaksala square, S: t Erik's square and that it remains on Stora torget but is moved a bit from the center.

139 years old

The candelabra was built in 1882 and actually stood in all three of these places during different periods.

- Many people think that it has been on Stora torget all the time, but that is not the case, says Rickard Malmström.

A final decision on the candelabra's new location will be made in September and sometime in 2022 it is expected to be completed in its new location.

Stora torget was the chandelier's first place and here it has also been since 1999. According to the current proposal, it would be moved a bit from the center so the buses arrive.
