In Las Vegas, USA, due to the progress of vaccination with the new coronavirus vaccine, restrictions on the number of seats in the show have been lifted, and large-scale regular performances have resumed for the first time in about a year and three months.

Cirque du Soleil, the world-famous Canadian circus troupe, has resumed regular performances in Las Vegas, Western Nevada.

The performance has been forced to be canceled since March last year due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but after the restrictions on the number of seats in the show were lifted from the beginning of this month in Las Vegas, it will be about 3 years on the 28th. The performance has resumed for the first time in a month.

Tickets for the first day were sold out, and about 1,600 spectators visited, so measures such as requiring people who had not completed vaccination to wear masks were taken.

At the hotel where the venue is located, the state of the rehearsal was released to the press before the performance, and 72 performers who appeared were repeatedly practicing dance and acrobatics under the direction of the director.

One of the performers, Japanese Mai Yamamoto, said, "I couldn't wait for the restart. I've been practicing voluntarily during the pandemic. I hope many fans will enjoy it." I did.

Artistic director Tim Smith said, "I'm very excited about the reopening for the first time in 15 months. Come and experience the splendid world of Cirque du Soleil."
