An altercation broke out in the night from Saturday to Sunday around 3:45 am in Rennes.

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in the eye by a dummy weapon fire on the docks of Prévalaye, in the city center of the Breton capital.

According to our information, the alleged shooter was attending a birthday party in an apartment located on the quays.

Outside, a group of young people tried to invite themselves there, before throwing projectiles on the windows facing the refusal to let them go up.

One of the participants in this party then descended armed with an airsoft-type pistol, a dummy weapon capable of firing plastic or metal balls.

The victim allegedly received the projectile in the eye.

The 23-year-old was taken care of by firefighters and taken to hospital.

He was due for surgery on Monday and could lose his eye.

Contacted, the Rennes prosecutor's office specifies that a man is currently in police custody in connection with this case.

It would be the alleged shooter.
