He noted that there are no direct bans on holding major events.
"The decision is made by the city leadership, the regional leadership on the basis of the recommendations and requirements of the sanitary authorities," RIA Novosti quotes him.
The Kremlin clarified that each major event is held taking into account the recommendations of the sanitary authorities of a particular constituent entity of Russia.
He added that, as far as the Kremlin knows, the same recommendations were formulated in St. Petersburg, and they were implemented on the spot.
Earlier it was reported that a holiday of graduates "Scarlet Sails" was held in St. Petersburg. The event started from the checkpoints, where the guests were checked the temperature and the presence of a protective medical mask.
