It involves the introduction of restrictive measures against the economy of the republic and some people.
“That is, we have introduced a comprehensive sanctions regime, it is just beginning to have an impact.
And we, of course, will not ease the pressure until the situation in Belarus changes, ”Merkel said.
The European Union last week announced the introduction of economic sectoral sanctions against Belarus due to the incident with the Ryanair plane, which on May 23 urgently landed at the Minsk airport.
In response to this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic announced the launch of retaliatory measures within a week.
