This Monday mid-morning action in the Basso Cambo district of Toulouse.
On a construction site, workers discovered while digging what looked very much like a shell.
Immediately, the nearby shopping center, as well as the tax center and an auto accessories store were evacuated as a precaution.

The Haute-Garonne firefighters were also dispatched on site, as were the police pending the arrival of deminers from Civil Security.
The latter did not take long to realize that this shell was in fact a counterweight, of the type used in old Comtoise clocks.
And which resembles, it is true, by its shape to an explosive projectile.
Once all doubt was removed, the stores were able to reopen, and the agents to return to the offices of the tax center.
