The store's owner, 53-year-old Debbie Shelley, made it.
Shelley said that she made this dress because she wanted to show that even tall women can wear wedding dresses and that they are beautiful.
A woman passing by with her children pointed to the mannequin and said, "Don't be that fat. That way no one will want to marry you."
Shelley posted a poster that read "Give Mannequins Love Instead of Laughing" and said her actions "hopefully work to change people's attitudes."
