About twenty people fired a series of mortars against drug addicts who wander in the garden of Éole, in the north-east of Paris.

For several weeks, a hundred people addicted to drugs have wandered in this park, to the chagrin of residents.

"It was sure it was going to end like this!"

This is what repeats a woman we hear in the video that went viral in a few hours on Twitter.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, the latter shows mortar fire targeting drug addicts wandering in the Jardin d'Éole, straddling the 18th and 19th arrondissements of Paris.

At around 4 p.m., drug addicts at Jardins d '# Eole were targeted by mortar fire.

Families and children were in the Park.

The groups of residents who have been discussing for weeks with the Town hall, specify that this does not come from them in any way and condemn.

No injuries

The projectiles, which caused no injuries, were probably fired by about twenty young people who fled before the arrival of the police. "Around 4 p.m., we heard quite a few gunshots and quite dense without knowing what it was. It was when we approached the windows that we saw a sort of fight in the park with people. who were firing on each other. This is when we understood that it was a new episode of mortar fire, "said

a local resident

in

Figaro

, exasperated by these repeated scenes of violence.

According to

Le Parisien

, one of the alleged perpetrators of this attack could still be arrested and is currently in police custody.

He allegedly spoke of revenge after a drug addict was very aggressive towards his family to explain the origin of the events.

A hundred drug addicts

For many weeks now, around a hundred drug addicts have taken up residence in this garden, to the chagrin of residents.

Gathered around the association "Renaissance of the garden of Éole", the latter claim not to be at the origin of this incident and publicly condemn this violence.

They were also recently received by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, who pledged to resolve the problem by June 30.

Drug addicts could be temporarily accommodated on the Ordener-Poissonniers wasteland, in the 19th arrondissement, says
