According to preliminary data from the regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, on Sunday, June 27, several families with children came to rest on the Bolshoy Uzen River in the Novouzensky District.

Among the vacationers was a 14-year-old girl who came with her mother.

While the adults were sorting things out, three children decided to swim in the river, but because of the strong current, they began to be carried away by the stream of water.

A 33-year-old man from this company rushed to their aid.

He was able to direct one boy to the shore and dived after a 14-year-old girl, but he could not save her.

The man also drowned.

Another girl swam to the shore on her own.

Earlier it was reported that two teenagers drowned while swimming in the Astrakhan region.
