THE ESSENTIAL
The outgoing president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Laurent Wauquiez (LR), came largely in the lead in the first round of the regional elections, with 43.79% of the vote.
They are three in the second round.
Faced with the Republican candidate for the head of a right-wing union list, Fabienne Grébert united on the left by merging with the list of Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, who came in fourth position a week earlier.
The National Rally of André Kotarac also qualified for this triangular.
At the same time, we vote for the departmental in the twelve departments of the region.
The situation will be particularly monitored in Isère and in Puy-de-Dôme which may change.
